ABOUT
Umber is a umbreon. Umber mainly has black fur, which is typical for an umbreon. In addition, he has rings and circle patterns and shit on him, also typical of for an umbreon. These ring patterns are yellow or red. He also wears clothes.
He likes mystery novels and ran the main book club for North Doubax High School. The book club meetings are where he became friends with Tem, who also likes mystery novels.
Umber's personality can be described as... kind of an ass. Ass as in asshole. Not even kind of. He is quite ass. Asshole. He is also arrogant. How ass. Despite all of this ass, he is very social. He has no fear in starting conversations with strangers. He is very outgoing. He likes to show himself off. Both mentally and physically. Jokingly or not, he is very flirty. Despite all of this, he does not abide by many social cues. Ass.
He lives with Henry Snyder in Camden, Friendship City. He also often has sleepovers at Oakwood's place. Umber previously lived in his parents' basement. Oh yeah. His parents. They are... well, let's just say, not so funkin'. In other words, they are transphobic. Yikes... Even his uncles and aunts are not funkin'... Not funkin' at all, man...
This resulted in Umber being closeted. He has not told a single soul that he is actually non-binary and that he would like to go by they/them. He is also gay, which he has also told no one about. Well, other than Mar. Mar always suspected that he was gay.
Wait. Who is Mar? Mar is Umber's brother. They did not have sexual relations with each other. How many other relatives does Umber have, huh? Well, let's just say... at least one more. Umber is also Victor's younger cousin.
Victor introduced Umber to the sport of ice hockey. I don't know if Umber cared about it, but he took the opportunity to take one of Victor's hockey sticks and use it for self defense. Umber often carries it around.
Umber likes guitars, but never played it very well. He played it so unwell that he had Oakwood teach him how to play it better.
Umber also likes insects. In fact, he is obsessed with them. He is also, to an extent, interested in entomology. Whatever that is.
APPEARANCE
Umber mainly has black fur, which is typical for an umbreon. In addition, he has rings and circle patterns and shit on him, also typical of for an umbreon. Well, Umber's patterns are a bit different. Firstly, the rings on his ears, which are not referred to as earrings, are colored red instead of yellow. The circle on his forehead is also red. The rest of his patterns, on his limbs and tail, are yellow. He has a "ring" around each limb as does his ears and tail.
Actually, the colors of his rings are very inconsistent. Scientists do not know why this is the case. But I do. The colors of Umber's rings depend on his emotions. The default state of the rings are stated in the previous paragraph.
Umber also wears clothes. He has accumulated many outfits throughout the years, so let me clearly arrange them in a list, which will not be in any particular order. As a note, he does in fact have the ability to mix and match clothes he has from each outfit.
- As seen in CoJu's 09/02/23 illustration, Umber wears a white tank top, black pants with gray pockets, and gray shoes laced with shoelaces. He is also seen wearing a green tank top, with the rest of his outfit unchanged.
- As seen in CoJu's 03/30/20 illustration (the one where he is holding what seems to be a book), Umber wears a dark blue T-shirt and jeans.
- As seen in CoJu's 12/23/20 illustration, where Umber is holding an instrument that seems to be a guitar, he wears a light gray jacket with jean shorts.
- As seen in CoJu's 09/13/20 illustration, where Umber is under a tree looking at his phone, he wears a bright green T-shirt with ripped jeans. It is also seen that he is utilizing a brown belt. Let's assume that this belt is made of leather or imitation leather. Umber is wearing a similar outfit in his 2020 reference sheet, with the only differences being that his jeans are not ripped, he does not have a belt, and he wears yellow sneakers.
- In Umber's 08/09/21 reference sheet, he is seen wearing two outfits. His first outfit consists of a white tank top, red pants that look like pajamas, black sneakers with dark green shoelaces and dark green stars on each side, and a shiny yellow collar? or a tight golden necklace? I don't know what it is. His second outfit consists of a white tank top, red jacket, black pants with four pockets, and purple striped sneakers that I will not further explain its detail.
- I am not writing all of this. I give up.
I just know you skipped reading at least some part of the list above. I would do too. In fact, I would just skip reading the entire thing. I would much prefer to actually see these outfits in action than read his outfit descriptions, which aren't even that detailed.

BACKSTORY
Umber was born on Earth in a hospital.
Umber grew up on Earth with his mother, father, and his brother Mar.
Umber and Mar never pursued a serious romantic nor sexual relationship with each other. I must reiterate this again.
After Umber found out his parents were not so funkin' he decided to become RooM8s with some friggin dewds to spend less time with them.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
2020
On March 30, CoJu created an umbreon character. It named them Umber as "the non-binary asshole that reads mystery novels when he isn't being an asshole". CoJu asked CoMo to name this character, and CoMo said "glass". CoJu said "no". What! That's crazy! Well, as it turns out, all of this actually happened! Here is how it all went totally down:

OH SHIT! We got some more clues to what type of character CoJu is going to make! The character is going to have a gender neutral name! That's all I can assume. I will not assume any more. Actually, I can, because CoJu wanted this gender neutral name to fit "an asshole" that "reads mystery novels".
CoMo suggested "glass" to be this character's name. Unfortunately, CoJu replied with "no". As we can see, CoMo wasn't very happy about this. Since CoMo will obviously not help with providing any good names, it is likely that CoJu consulted the internet for names, as we can see here:

2022
In the summer, CoMo rediscovered Umber's controversial opinion on COVID and turned him into a right wing psychopath. Umber said "Yup I'm a free thinker." while naked on a beach.
2023
CoJu no longer uses Umber and has since replaced them with Victor. CoMo now owns Umber after giving Sugar, a feral Eevee character CoMo had but never used, to CoJu.
After Umber was given to CoMo, he made his last name Shiffallooley. Umber's previous surnames were first R. in 2020 and then Mack in 2021.
In September 2023, CoMo made Umber's character page on the old sribbles website. Here is what the About section read:
He is an umbreon who is currently in an alt right rabbit hole. He is secretly nonbinary and tries to convince himself that he is "normal". He used to be in a sexual relationship with his brother Mar. Like Oakwood, he is obsessed with committing public indecency. He reads mystery novels. He is annoying. He is roommates with Henry Snyder. He likes apple cider.
And here is what his backstory section read:
He had an interest in conspiracy theories when he started high school. In 2020, he believed COVID-19 was good because it "reduces pollution" and "controls the population".
The page was last edited in January 2024.
2024
On October 31, shortly after making Victor and Avery's character pages, CoMo started making Umber's character page.
CoMo noticed that Umber's ring colors were inconsistent throughout all of the wonderful artwork that CoJu made. CoMo had to come up with a reason for this. He decided to make this reason be due to Umber's emotional feelings, to which CoJu thought: Uh... OK?
